My name is Charlotte Chapman. I’m a fully qualified Physiotherapist BSc (Hons) – First Class Honours. I’m a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I have also trained with the Australian Physio and Pilates Institute in Matwork Pilates and Pregnancy / Post Natal Exercise; and at the London School of Sports Massage in Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy (Level 5 Diploma). I have trained and worked in teaching hospitals and private hospitals in London, but have now returned to my hometown to make a difference to the local community by spreading my passion for Physiotherapy, rehabilitation and Physio-led Pilates. I have worked at outstanding private hospitals, including Parkside Hospital Wimbledon, Nuffield Health Woking, and the Fitzwilliam Hospital Peterborough.

My passion for Physiotherapy started at a young age; I originally trained and worked as a professional dancer. As you can imagine, I used to spend hours and hours in a dance studio pushing my body to its limits and it was so important that I didn’t get injured. So I would visit a Physiotherapist regularly to sort out any niggles before they became full-blown injuries, and I practiced Pilates daily. Having such a proactive and preventive approach to my training helped me to train better and harder; I learnt more about my body and developed outstanding body awareness and got injured much less!

So when I retrained to become a Physiotherapist my philosophy towards treating people has always been “prevention is better than cure”. I love to teach people about their bodies and help them develop their own body awareness. My approach is very proactive. Getting to know your body, and treating it with the love and respect it deserves (through movement, exercise, good nutrition and happiness) will help you stay strong and healthy throughout your life.

My proactive and preventative treatment approach will help you train better and smarter! Whether you’re trying to prevent having an operation, or whether you’re a runner/cyclist/swimmer/dancer, Physiotherapy can help maximise your potential and support you along your journey to success. I can work with you over a number of sessions to help you develop a treatment plan that works for you.

If you’re recovering from an injury or operation I can safely guide you through your recovery and help you get your life back on track. Whatever your goals are, I am here to listen and help you develop a Physiotherapy programme that will help you to achieve your goals.
